Directly went for the guidelines and trying to break the pose down. Admittedly, this is a very awkward pose, so I had a really hard time understanding it. It doesn't look quite right to begin with =.=
I tried to redo the pose without the guidelines, but I got lost. I think it shows. So, at least for now, I'll keep using the guidelines for everything. The result may not be perfect, but it allows for me to grasp what I'm doing and find a working process. And that'd be what matters.
As a sidenote, I don't re-use the guidelines as-is, but re-draw them. Just makes more sense that way.
